The game that kicked off this larger-than-life series, God of War, sees Kratos tasked with killing his former master Ares after 10 years of serving the gods - which requires the elusive Pandora's Box.
God of War introduced players to the franchise's signature combo-based hack and slash combat, and is widely regarded as one of the best games on the PS2. It was remastered for the PS3 in 2009 as part of the God of War Collection.
God of War Collection is a remastered port of God of War and God of War II. It is the first game under Sony's line of "Classics HD." The collection features high-definition 720p anti-aliased graphics at 60 frames per second and Trophies. The port was produced as a result of feedback from fans of the series and was viewed as a means of introducing new players to the series before God of War III was released. A second collection, God of War: Origins Collection, was released in 2011.
Retro frame artifact classics feature their own expansion symbol and can be found in Draft, Set, and Collector Boosters. They come in three versions: regular retro frame, "retro schematics" and serialized "retro schematics" with double-rainbow foiling. The serialized cards are numbered with their number out of 500, and they'll only be available in Collector Boosters.
If you only get one game in the series, get Virtua Racing, which has been entirely remastered in 1080p and 60fps and looks incredible, its basic polygonal graphics giving it a beautifully clean minimalist look these days.

Mimicking some of the ways the surviving myths portray the gods as vain and attention-seeking in their interactions with mortals, Apollo and his brethren craved love, admiration and worship. Having been rejected by humanity, the other aliens faded away into the cosmos, leaving only Apollo who retained hope some day humans would seek him out. He cannot quite imagine the Enterprise crew could shun his attentions and plans to create a new world for them and even breed with him.
A remastered version of Heavy Rain for the PlayStation 4 was released on March 1, 2016, including graphics improvement. Beyond: Two Souls is also included in disc versions. On December 4, 2018, the PS4 versions of these two games and Detroit: Become Human were released as a compilation pack called the Quantic Dream Collection.
Meanwhile, a retired police lieutenant named Scott Shelby is now working as a private investigator for the families of victims of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who kidnaps young boys and murders them. He seeks out Lauren Winter, a prostitute whose son Johnny was one of the Origami Killer's victims. She talks to Scott about her son and his death, but provides little information. While leaving the building, Scott has an asthma attack, but manages to contain it with his inhaler as he sees a man named Troy forcing his way into Lauren's apartment. Players then have the choice to leave or go back and fight Troy.
