I am getting a NullPointerException whenever I try to convert a String to BigInteger. The data I'm receiving comes from a previous JSON library I used on android.
Unsure how to fix this. I'm even stumped as to why the String is null. I don't even know if I should be converting the String to a BigInteger or just keeping it as a String. I tried both ways.
I'm working with a BigDecimal in this case.
I thought the BigInteger class would be able to handle parsing a String that was in the format of "12345".
But apparently it can't do that. I'm pulling from an XML feed. Which I didn't know was a bad idea. That was taken care of now. That was just a box error.
This was added to the JSON library that I'm using on the android app. It's basically a wrapper for HttpGet and HttpPost. It's a good source of java JSON tutorials/help.
I'm really not great with a lot of Java. I just have to find what works on this one.
Thanks for any help.
BigInteger is not a number type, but, by definition, you can't really store it in a String. You'll need to parse it as a BigInteger and then convert it to a String.

Today is the release date for three special books for the Anomalous Division: In Search of One or Three Overlords by Richard T. Sloane, Tales of the Supernatural by R. T. Sloane, and The Wild Hunt by Richard T. Sloane and Jean-Marc Lofficier. For the first time, these stories have been brought together in one book. All have the same author, so this is a special collaboration.
An especially powerful story is included in the book. This story will appear in the next(!) Anomalous Division book, The Church in the Clouds, which will come out in October 2011.
For those who are unfamiliar, the Anomalous Division books are a series of stories centering on agencies that deal with the supernatural, including 0b46394aab
